“A goal without a plan is just a wish”
-Antoine de Saint-Exuperty

Jason is a big believer that money should work for you, not the other way around. He’s also a fan of the Golden Rule — treat people the way they’d want to be treated — and has built his entire career on that simple idea. Along the way, he’s helped businesses, non-profits, families, and individuals turn financial “what ifs” into clear, confident “here’s how.”

Before hanging his shingle as an independent financial advisor, Jason spent over 20 years in the
Kansas City area as a community banker and entrepreneur — meaning he’s seen just about every financial curveball you can imagine. Today, he focuses on helping businesses design retirement plans and group benefits, and guiding individuals and families through comprehensive financial planning that’s tax-smart, independent, and refreshingly free of jargon.

Jason’s not just about numbers — he’s about neighborhoods. He’s served as Past President of
the Liberty Sertoma Club and rolled up his sleeves on boards for the Liberty Education Foundation, Rebuilding Together, and both the Liberty and Gladstone Chambers of Commerce.

Raised in Indianola, Iowa, Jason is a first generation, college graduate, earning a bachelor’s in economics from Luther College, a master’s in finance from Webster University, and a master’s certification in commercial banking from SMU’s Cox School of Business.

He and his wife, Maia — a gifted education teacher and his partner in all things — have called Liberty, Missouri home since 1996. Together, they raised three kids (Will, Annika, and Britta), cheered through countless school events, and found joy in the everyday stuff. When Jason’s off the clock, you might catch him golfing, fishing, rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes or Arkansas Razorbacks, volunteering at church, or swapping stories with friends and family — preferably somewhere in a fun KC spot after a good round of golf.
